Refuse to Quit In his final year as a student athlete in university, my son ,Akeem, was somewhat weary and had almost quit. We had an intense conversation, in which it reminded him that he will reap, if he faint not. Months after, he went on to thank me that he hadn't quit. Now he's an alumnus, and has completed both football and his studies in Sociology and Business. #awesomeGod...... YaY! Do not give up! Do not stop! Keep moving! Keep pressing. Don't give up on your marriage, that business, school, or even that sport that you've been called and chosen for. God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that you can ask or think of. With God you can defy all odds and limitations. With men it is impossible, but with God All Things are Possible. Matthew 19:26 Dr. Adolf Brown 111 states: "Do not judge an end, or a finish by the beginning." You are not your beginning. Many billion-dollar companies started out in a basement or garage with almost little to nothing. You can do it also. You may be judged, laughed at, wrongfully accused, hated, lied on, ridiculed, and copied. Keep going. I like to say, "Some people are like SANDPAPER; you will need these people to complete your God-given purpose. What is the purpose of the sandpaper? Ah, smoothing and polishing. You will never produce if you quit. Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof. Start your day right with the Holy Spirit, filled daily devotional. 30 Days in The Word Daily Devotional. Giving comes from the heart with cheer, and will determine your way of living. Yes, yes, and yes. Your giving will determine your living. You will never be able to out-give God, in fact, when you give to those in need you are lending to him. I'm not talking about giving out of compulsion, reluctantly, tactics, gimmicks, tricks, schemes, or pressure. Walking in God's wisdom, understanding, knowledge and counsel. Living a balanced, fulfilled life; seeking God first and his will, walking in your God-given purpose; giving your time to a need; helping a cause; volunteering when you can; giving a smile; and most of all, giving cheerfully with love. I remember the priceless time spent with 89-year-old Elsie, for over 7 years at the Holland Christian Seniors' home. Listening to that one story for 99 times like I heard it for the first time. Together we laughed, prayed, shared memories, had a few shopping mall visits, and boy, I gained a wealth of knowledge and life skills. That time spent aided me in becoming a woman with solid foundation in God, just so rooted and grounded in the importance of the life of giving. In one of her priceless conversations to me, she said, "Sharna, when you started you were a volunteer, then you became a friend, and now you're family." Give where your heart and passion are. Live the life of giving. Check out day 12 of 30 Days in The Word Daily Devotional. The greatest power on earth is Prayer.
